Even though I am not a fan of Chowder and I have never read the Deadman comics but CH Greenblatt did a good job doing these shorts. Making it more kid friendly and not too violent which is a positive. The animation/ art style is cute and the voice acting even if it was just Matt Jones is good/10(2). The main draw for me with this book, however, was the chance to see some of Neal Adams' early work.
This was in fact his breakout series/5. Deadman Book One collects the stories originally published in issues # of "Strange Adventures," which seemingly represented a transition between Silver age and Bronze age comics as was happening in the late 60s. Neal Adam's work here is solid, if a bit dated, but not as dated as one would expect/5(19).
